Battle Cry Update (submitted by Wrinkette at 01:42pm CST) Battle Cry having been around for many years now has found itself at the beginning of another recoup and rebuild. After a couple years I have returned home and resumed my position as Co-Leader. Seryn and I, along with the officers on hand intend to get BC off the ground and start doing some guild events and raids. Due to this direction I feel we should get this part of the website going as it has many features for labeling, posting, and organizing said events and raids. Faejon if you happen to read this, (if not i am going to send you a PM), I have noticed that the software for this page has an update out and I would like to get that done if possible. I am more than willing to assist any way I can. I am hoping this update adds the ability to select Drakkin from the class menu. I cannot locate anywhere to add this myself. Looking over the User list we have many members that have registered here and a good chunk of them are inactive. This is where i begin to ask for the members help. If you are registered on this page and are active I ask you to send me a PM on the forums with your login name. If you use an email address for your login please let me know and we can get your username changed to your Mains name. I will then update and populate the member list and we can begin using this for event coordination in conjuction with the forums. Please remember that this page and the forums have seperate logins. But if you use your Main name as your login for both pages we can easily use both pages to our advantage. I would like to trim the user list to active and honorary members only. As always if you have any questions please feel free to send me an ingame email, or a PM on the forums. Honor and Victory, Wrinkette |

State of the Guild Message SPRING 2007 (submitted by Seryn at 10:19pm CDT) *****If you are trying to register and post, please click on Forums at the top of this page! Thanks! ***** Since I last posted a State of The Guild message we have almost doubled! Battle Cry has grown by leaps and bounds in both new members and old. We have seen the return of past players and the additions of seasoned veterans looking for a new home. Our average level is 65+ with around 30 players actively on throughout each day. 2 years ago I would have never dreamed BC would come back so strong! For those new to our guild I will give you a brief history: Battle Cry was formed on the Karana server by a group of real life friends at the end of '99 beginning of '00, one of them being Faejon the creator and maintainer of our guild webpage. Then they split off to Terris Thule and stayed there until the merger with Prexus 2 years ago. The founders wrote a charter that has grown with our guild through the years, a living document to better serve its members; much as the game has changed and updated to keep up with the times. Many of us still remember the days that the East Common lands tunnel was used as a bazaar; "selling all on me at first torch!", and you could actually drop money on the ground for people to pick up! I strongly encourage you to take the time to read our charter as you may be surprised by some of the things you find! Battle Cry was formed by friends for friends and stayed a very close knit family. We have never been a raiding guild but have enjoyed our share of raids. We have had approximately 5 guild leaders with various officers acting as leader in times of need. I have been the guild leader since the year EQ2 came out which I believe was 2004. I took over admin of the webpage shortly thereafter and have since added additional admins to help maintain it. Looking to the present time and future of Battle Cry I see nothing but greatness. We keep growing and gaining knowledge in the game. Our gear has been supplemented nicely by new quests. We love to 'raid' quests to better the guild. If you know of a quest we aren't regularly doing please step up and let us know! Remember, ANYONE can lead a raid in Battle Cry if you have the knowledge and desire. Currently we are striving to get Anguish keyed for the guild and begin to raid there regularly. The rewards in Anguish are really nice and we can certainly handle it with our force. Epics 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 are always assisted with if you need a target for your epic all you have to do is ask an officer. The newer expansions have several quests for gear and experience we are always researching new targets. Our guild webpage has a lot of archived walk-thrus and raid/quest info make sure you check it when looking up your information. A lot of hard work has gone into our webpage. If you need assistance with your log in or password please contact Seryn, Hael, Slipshadowx, or Wrinkette (Dakine is available by post on our webpage) The officers and I like to focus on what will help the guild as a whole when looking at groups or raids. If you have an idea let us know! The guild bank is continually filling up. We are continually organizing and cleaning it out. Some people may be wondering where all the stuff goes, here is a brief run down of how we manage our guild funds: Spells below level 60 are usually removed unless they are quest; I tribute these for guild tribute points. We are nearly maxed out on guild tribute once more. When we are maxed I sell them to a merchant for guild funds. (See Melody in the guild hall) Food items are usually taken by members to eat, or for use in baking. Quest items are given out by request. Gear that has been in the guild bank for over 30 days I usually pull out and sell on my trader after trying for a week to see if someone could use it. When a member is working a trade skill they can request certain items be put in the bank for them to use, if you have requested them be sure to regularly check for them so they don't sit to long. We have many master trade-skillers in the guild that frequently make and donate hundreds of thousands worth of gear/items for the guild; these usually end up as banker only. If you would benefit from them please ask. I frequently buy potions or pay to have them made for the guild. Any money I get from the guild bank goes directly back into the guild. Seryn currently has 100,000 in her bank. So we are not millionaires, but we usually make back the money that we spend. Donations are accepted if you wish. I have recently set up my foraging trader and sell a lot of foraged only stuff in the bazaar to help supplement the guild funds. My husband has two traders that he regularly sells his jewelry on. He greatly supplements the guild with funds and gear. The officers continually contribute and finance the guild personally. Our members continually contribute and finance the guild with their donations to the guild bank. THANK YOU for openly giving to each other! BC is going to have GUILD MEMBER OF THE MONTH awards starting in April. To nominate someone you will send me, Seryn, an in-game email nominating someone and your reasons why. I will post them on the officer board for us to vote on the last week of each month. After the winner has been selected the nomination details will be posted on our webpage for all to see. You can only win the Guild Member of the Month award once a year. Each winner will receive a Platinum prize amount, and their name will be posted on our webpage, the guild message, and the guild lobby board. I was thinking of also adding a game card for one month free of EQ but will need to clear that with my hubby first! We are looking for the members that go out of their way to help one another and contribute to the guild. This doesn't mean you have to donate plat or items, only your cheerful attitude and time. Our guild is only as good as its members and we would like to reward you for taking pride in your guild! tag. We are more than online gamers, we are a community. We are friends, we are family, we are BATTLE CRY! HONOR & VICTORY!! Your leader, Seryn |

State of the Guild message 1st Edition (submitted by Seryn at 12:33am CDT) Greetings BC members! Our wonderful guild is growing into a large, good, quality core full of new friends! BC's 6 yr history of success is a direct result of the character and honor that you continually demonstrate. Our members have built this guild into a force of over 400 members strong! This has been a long time goal finally accomplished! Thank you!! I want to also thank all my officers for their hard work in guiding the guild. And for all of your loyalty and great attitudes! Points to go over this month include: epics raids recruiting charter revision 30 day probation questions/problems guild bank 1.) Epics are our main focus at this time. We have alot of newly leveled people that need their epic item. Impromtu groups/raids will continue as needed to help guild mates reach their goals. 2.) Raids will be epic driven at this time. Our raids will remain non-mandatory, non-point system based. Zone raids for fun and practice will continue as people are available. Keys, flags, epics, quests, etc. Eventually we will switch our raid focus to planar flagging and higher end zones as people level. We will all have to learn it together. 3.) Recruiting will continue to be open. All levels, classes, and races are welcome. Friends and family are preferred. Alts are accepted. 4.) The Guild Charter is currently being revised by our officers. Once we have finished the revisions we will post the newly revised Charter on the Guild webpage. Please make sure you have read and understand the rules we follow in our guild. This will keep issues to a minimun regarding charter infractions. We have elaborately set down our charter to communicate a very simple view: BE FRIENDLY, PLAY FAIR, BE HONEST, AND SHARE. Do those things, and you will not have a problem. 5.) The reason for dates next to your name in guild manager is for us to track your probationary time period. Once you hit 30 days in the guild you are considered a permanent member. If you leave the guild and return your 30 days start over. If for some reason you break the charter rules during your 30 days you can be removed from the guild no questions asked. If you are past your 30 days, depending on the reason, the officers and guild leaders will vote on it and decide your fate. If a gross infraction occurs (training people on purpose and laughing about it) you will be removed no matter how long you have been in the guild. Basic rule of thumb: if it makes the guild look bad, don't do it. If it hurts other people, don't do it. 6.) Any questions, concerns, problems, please seek out an officer immediately! We are here to help our guild run as smoothly as possible and keep everyone's play time a pleasant experience. 7.) Last but not least: Guild Bank In order to protect our guild bank from possible looters that take advantage of our kindness, we are implementing a new rule. From now on whenever someone deposits gear with significant stats, it will remain a banker only item. All officers are designated as bankers and have access to these items. If there is a piece of gear that would upgrade you please let an officer know. The officers will decide who gets the loot according to our loot system. Basically we look at Main VS Alt, is it an upgrade?, probationary member compared to a full member, etc. As our levels increase the kind of gear members have to deposit will also increase in value. Due to our size growing rapidly we have to put some kind of reign on things. This is the first edition of the State of the Guild message for Battle Cry, I Hope you liked it!! Warm Purple Hugs to all! ~Seryn |
